Executive Director

The Executive Director of YWCA will serve as the chief executive officer responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and overall success of the organization. This role ensures that YWCA’s mission—to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all—is carried out effectively through dynamic programs, strong community partnerships, and impactful advocacy.

This position is well-suited for a purpose-driven leader—whether emerging or experienced—who brings a strong commitment to equity and a track record of leadership in nonprofit, public service, or mission-aligned sectors. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Planning

●     Develop and implement organizational strategic plans aligned with YWCA’s mission and goals.

●     Foster a strong working relationship with the Board of Directors to support governance and oversight.

●     Cultivate meaningful relationships with community stakeholders, funders, and strategic partners.

●     Advocate for social justice and women's empowerment in public forums and policy conversations.

Program Development & Operational Oversight

●     Design, execute, and evaluate mission-driven programs that meet community needs.

●     Lead staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation.

●     Coordinate and manage volunteer activities to amplify program impact.

●     Oversee operational functions including facilities, technology, and resource management.

●     Leverage data to monitor outcomes and inform decisions.

Fundraising & Financial Stewardship

●     Create and lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure diverse revenue streams.

●     Manage budget development, financial planning, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility.

●     Author and submit compelling grant proposals to fund organizational initiatives.

Qualifications & Competencies

●     Proven leadership experience in non-profit management or similar fields.

●     Strong strategic planning and organizational development skills.

●     Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing preferred.

●     Proficient in financial oversight within a non-profit context preferred.

●     Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

●     Effective problem-solver with a results-driven mindset.

●     Deep commitment to social justice, women's rights, and community impact.
