at YWCA MDI
Lodging is hard to find on Mount Desert Island and we're proud to be the only YWCA in Maine still running our flagship program since 1904: safe, affordable lodging for women and girls. With a limited number of rooms, demand for our summer season is high, so we use a lottery system to make the booking process as fair as possible.
Here's how it works:

Our summer season runs April 1 – October 31. The lottery to reserve a room for that season is open December 1 through January 15. Entering is easy, but please note, entering doesn't guarantee a bed, since space is limited

After the lottery closes, we randomly draw winners on January 31.

Everyone who enters will hear back from the YWCA team by email. If you are selected, we will give you a time to call us and confirm your stay.
If your name is not chosen in the lottery, we will notify you so you can make other arrangements.
