24th Annual Carol Dyer Memorial Evening
Join us for the 24th annual Luminaria Evening. This years beneficiary is Sarah's House of Maine. Luminaria cost $10 a piece and can be purchased here. They will also be available that evening on the Village Green. *Rain date: August 16th.
"The mission of Sarah’s House is to provide temporary lodging in a comfortable “home away from home” environment to cancer patients (and their caregivers) receiving treatments at Cancer Care. We serve a vast area for cancer treatment, and convenient lodging is essential for these people. At Sarah’s House, we provide not only an affordable place to stay, but a supportive and caring atmosphere centered around hope and healing. Referred guests are served with integrity and respect and without regard to financial resources."

If the Luminaria on August 9th is rained out, the Luminaria Evening will be held today.

Juneteenth Downeast
The fifth annual Juneteenth Downeast Commemoration will return to Knowlton Park, 11 Shore Road, Ellsworth, Maine, on Thursday, June 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. This free festival invites all Mainers and visitors to participate in Juneteenth for a day filled with Black and Indigenous music, culture, food, and activities for all ages. The overarching theme for this year's event is: Caring for each other, as we care for ourselves.
